سُورَةُ القَارِعَةِ

11 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (1)

The Striking Disaster!

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (2)

What is the Striking Disaster?

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (3)

And what will make you realize what the Striking Disaster is?

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ (4)

˹It is˺ the Day people will be like scattered moths,

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ (5)

and the mountains will be like carded wool.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ (6)

So as for those whose scale is heavy ˹with good deeds˺,

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ (7)

they will be in a life of bliss.
