سُورَةُ الفِيلِ

5 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ (1)

Have you not seen ˹O Prophet˺ how your Lord dealt with the Army of the Elephant?

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ (2)

Did He not frustrate their scheme?

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ (3)

For He sent against them flocks of birds,

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ (4)

that pelted them with stones of baked clay,

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ (5)

leaving them like chewed up straw.¹
