سُورَةُ المَاعُونِ

7 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ (1)

Have you seen the one who denies the ˹final˺ Judgment?

فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ (2)

That is the one who repulses the orphan,

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ (3)

and does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ (4)

So woe to those ˹hypocrites˺ who pray

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ (5)

yet are unmindful of their prayers;

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ (6)

those who ˹only˺ show off,

وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ (7)

and refuse to give ˹even the simplest˺ aid.¹
