ٱلْحِجْر

99 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ (36)

Satan appealed, “My Lord! Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.”

قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ (37)

Allah said, “You will be delayed

إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ (38)

until the appointed Day.”

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (39)

Satan responded, “My Lord! For allowing me to stray I will surely tempt them on earth and mislead them all together,

إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ (40)

except Your chosen servants among them.”

قَالَ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَىَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (41)

Allah said, “This is the Way, binding on Me:

إِنَّ عِبَادِى لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَاوِينَ (42)

you will certainly have no authority over My servants, except the deviant who follow you,
