ٱلشُّعَرَاء

227 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (127)

I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹message˺. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds.

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ (128)

˹Why˺ do you build a landmark on every high place in vanity,

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ (129)

and construct castles, as if you are going to live forever,

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ (130)

and act so viciously when you attack ˹others˺?

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (131)

So fear Allah, and obey me.

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ (132)

Fear the One Who has provided you with ˹the good˺ things you know:

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَـٰمٍ وَبَنِينَ (133)

He provided you with cattle, and children,
