ٱلشُّعَرَاء

227 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ (141)

The people of Thamûd rejected the messengers

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَـٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (142)

when their brother Ṣâliḥ said to them, “Will you not fear ˹Allah˺?

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ (143)

I am truly a trustworthy messenger to you.

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (144)

So fear Allah, and obey me.

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (145)

I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹message˺. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds.

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَـٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ (146)

Do you think you will be ˹forever˺ left secure in what you have here:

فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ (147)

amid gardens and springs,
