ٱلشُّعَرَاء

227 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ (176)

The residents of the Forest rejected the messengers

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (177)

when Shu’aib said to them,¹ “Will you not fear ˹Allah˺?

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ (178)

I am truly a trustworthy messenger to you.

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (179)

So fear Allah, and obey me.

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (180)

I do not ask you for any reward for this ˹message˺. My reward is only from the Lord of all worlds.

۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ (181)

Give full measure, and cause no loss ˹to others˺.

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ (182)

Weigh with an even balance,
