سُورَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ

182 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (71)

And surely most of the earlier generations had strayed before them,

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ (72)

although We had certainly sent warners among them.

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ (73)

See then what was the end of those who had been warned.

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ (74)

But not the chosen servants of Allah.

وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ (75)

Indeed, Noah cried out to Us, and how excellent are We in responding!

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ (76)

We delivered him and his family¹ from the great distress,

وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ (77)

and made his descendants the sole survivors.¹
