سُورَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ

182 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ (162)

can never lure ˹anyone˺ away from Him

إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ (163)

except those ˹destined˺ to burn in Hell.

وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ (164)

˹The angels respond,˺ “There is not one of us without an assigned station ˹of worship˺.

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ (165)

We are indeed the ones lined up in ranks ˹for Allah˺.

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ (166)

And we are indeed the ones ˹constantly˺ glorifying ˹His praise˺.”

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ (167)

They certainly used to say,

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (168)

“If only we had a Reminder like ˹those of˺ earlier peoples,¹
