سُورَةُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ

78 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ (8)

so that you do not defraud the scales.

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ (9)

Weigh with justice, and do not give short measure.

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ (10)

He laid out the earth for all beings.

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ (11)

In it are fruit, palm trees with date stalks,

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ (12)

and grain with husks, and aromatic plants.

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (13)

Then which of your Lord’s favours will you ˹humans and jinn˺ both deny?¹

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ (14)

He created humankind from ˹sounding˺ clay like pottery,
