سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ

96 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ (71)

Have you considered the fire you kindle?¹

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ (72)

Is it you who produce its trees, or is it We Who do so?

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَـٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَـٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ (73)

We have made it ˹as˺ a reminder ˹of the Hellfire˺ and a provision for the travellers.

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ (74)

So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Greatest.

۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ (75)

So I do swear by the positions of the stars—

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ (76)

and this, if only you knew, is indeed a great oath—

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ (77)

that this is truly a noble Quran,
