سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ

96 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

فِى كِتَـٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ (78)

in a well-preserved Record,¹

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ (79)

touched by none except the purified ˹angels˺.¹

تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (80)

˹It is˺ a revelation from the Lord of all worlds.

أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ (81)

How can you then take this message lightly,

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ (82)

and repay ˹Allah for˺ your provisions with denial?¹

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ (83)

Why then ˹are you helpless˺ when the soul ˹of a dying person˺ reaches ˹their˺ throat,

وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ (84)

while you are looking on?
