سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ

96 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ (85)

And We are nearer to such a person than you, but you cannot see.

فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ (86)

Now, if you are not subject to Our Will ˹as you claim˺,

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ (87)

bring that soul back, if what you say is true.

فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ (88)

So, if the deceased is one of those brought near ˹to Us˺,

فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ (89)

then ˹such a person will have˺ serenity, fragrance,¹ and a Garden of Bliss.

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ (90)

And if the deceased is one of the people of the right,

فَسَلَـٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ (91)

then ˹they will be told,˺ “Greetings to you from the people of the right.”
