سُورَةُ المُزَّمِّلِ

20 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا (8)

˹Always˺ remember the Name of your Lord, and devote yourself to Him wholeheartedly.

رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا (9)

˹He is the˺ Lord of the east and the west. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, so take Him ˹alone˺ as a Trustee of Affairs.

وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا (10)

Be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say, and depart from them courteously.

وَذَرْنِى وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُو۟لِى ٱلنَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا (11)

And leave to Me the deniers—the people of luxury—and bear with them for a little while.

إِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا (12)

˹For˺ We certainly have shackles, a ˹raging˺ Fire,

وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا (13)

choking food, and a painful punishment ˹in store for them˺

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا (14)

on the Day the earth and mountains will shake ˹violently˺, and mountains will be ˹reduced to˺ dunes of shifting sand.
