سُورَةُ النَّازِعَاتِ

46 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ (8)

˹The deniers’˺ hearts on that Day will be trembling ˹in horror˺,


أَبْصَـٰرُهَا خَـٰشِعَةٌ (9)

with their eyes downcast.


يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ (10)

˹But now˺ they ask ˹mockingly˺, “Will we really be restored to our former state,


أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمًا نَّخِرَةً (11)

even after we have been reduced to decayed bones?”


قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ (12)

Adding, “Then such a return would be a ˹total˺ loss ˹for us˺!”


فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ (13)

But indeed, it will take only one ˹mighty˺ Blast,


فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ (14)

and at once they will be above ground.
