سُورَةُ عَبَسَ
He frowned
42
Ayahs
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِأَيْدِى سَفَرَةٍ (15)
by the hands of angel-scribes,

كِرَامٍۭ بَرَرَةٍ (16)
honourable and virtuous.

قُتِلَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَآ أَكْفَرَهُۥ (17)
Condemned are ˹disbelieving˺ humans! How ungrateful they are ˹to Allah˺!

مِنْ أَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ (18)
From what substance did He create them?

مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ (19)
He created them from a sperm-drop, and ordained their development.

ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ (20)
Then He makes the way easy for them,

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ (21)
then causes them to die and be buried.
