سُورَةُ عَبَسَ

42 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا (29)

and olives and palm trees,

وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلْبًا (30)

and dense orchards,

وَفَـٰكِهَةً وَأَبًّا (31)

and fruit and fodder—

مَّتَـٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْ (32)

all as ˹a means of˺ sustenance for you and your animals.

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ (33)

Then, when the Deafening Blast¹ comes to pass—

يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ (34)

on that Day every person will flee from their own siblings,

وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ (35)

and ˹even˺ their mother and father,
