سُورَةُ عَبَسَ

42 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ (36)

and ˹even˺ their spouse and children.

لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ (37)

For then everyone will have enough concern of their own.

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ (38)

On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright,

ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ (39)

laughing and rejoicing,

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ (40)

while ˹other˺ faces will be dusty,

تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ (41)

cast in gloom—

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ (42)

those are the disbelievers, the ˹wicked˺ sinners.
