سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينِ

36 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ (1)

Woe to the defrauders!

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ (2)

Those who take full measure ˹when they buy˺ from people,

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ (3)

but give less when they measure or weigh for buyers.

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ (4)

Do such people not think that they will be resurrected

لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ (5)

for a tremendous Day—

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (6)

the Day ˹all˺ people will stand before the Lord of all worlds?

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ (7)

But no! The wicked are certainly bound for Sijjîn¹ ˹in the depths of Hell˺—
