سُورَةُ المُطَفِّفِينِ

36 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ كَانُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يَضْحَكُونَ (29)

Indeed, the wicked used to laugh at the believers,

وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ (30)

wink to one another whenever they passed by,

وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ فَكِهِينَ (31)

and muse ˹over these exploits˺ upon returning to their own people.

وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ (32)

And when they saw the faithful, they would say, “These ˹people˺ are truly astray,”

وَمَآ أُرْسِلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ حَـٰفِظِينَ (33)

even though they were not sent as keepers over the believers.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ (34)

But on that Day the believers will be laughing at the disbelievers,

عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ (35)

as they sit on ˹canopied˺ couches, looking on.
