سُورَةُ الأَعْلَى

19 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ (15)

remember the Name of their Lord, and pray.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا (16)

But you ˹deniers only˺ prefer the life of this world,

وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ (17)

even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting.

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ (18)

This is certainly ˹mentioned˺ in the earlier Scriptures—

صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ (19)

the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
