سُورَةُ الفَجْرِ

30 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَٱلْفَجْرِ (1)

By the dawn,¹

وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ (2)

and the ten nights,¹

وَٱلشَّفْعِ وَٱلْوَتْرِ (3)

and the even and the odd,

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ (4)

and the night when it passes!

هَلْ فِى ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِى حِجْرٍ (5)

Is all this ˹not˺ a sufficient oath for those who have sense?

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ (6)

Did you not see how your Lord dealt with ’Ȃd—

إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلْعِمَادِ (7)

˹the people˺ of Iram—with ˹their˺ great stature,
