سُورَةُ الفَجْرِ

30 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ٱلَّتِى لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ (8)

unmatched in any other land;

وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُوا۟ ٱلصَّخْرَ بِٱلْوَادِ (9)

and Thamûd who carved ˹their homes into˺ the rocks in the ˹Stone˺ Valley;

وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى ٱلْأَوْتَادِ (10)

and the Pharaoh of mighty structures?¹

ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ (11)

They all transgressed throughout the land,

فَأَكْثَرُوا۟ فِيهَا ٱلْفَسَادَ (12)

spreading much corruption there.

فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ (13)

So your Lord unleashed on them a scourge of punishment.¹

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ (14)

˹For˺ your Lord is truly vigilant.
