سُورَةُ الشَّرْحِ

8 Ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ (1)

Have We not uplifted your heart for you ˹O Prophet˺,

وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ (2)

relieved you of the burden

ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ (3)

which weighed so heavily on your back,

وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ (4)

and elevated your renown for you?¹

فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (5)

So, surely with hardship comes ease.

إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا (6)

Surely with ˹that˺ hardship comes ˹more˺ ease.¹

فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ (7)

So once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺,
